April 26th and 27th Los Angeles Times Festival of Books
Join us on April 26-27 at the University of Southern California for a weekend filled with amazing books, incredible authors, talented illustrators, exciting activities, and so much fun!
This year, we’re thrilled to welcome a very special guest—Ediciones Liebre, an independent press from Chile, and we’ll be showcasing their beautiful collection of books. You’ll get a chance to meet one of their editors as well as author/illustrator Sebastián Ilabasca, who will be leading an incredible art activity!
Both of our booths will feature amazing authors who will be signing copies of their books, plus some exciting activities! Of course, you’ll also be able to enjoy our diverse collection of children’s, young adult, and adult literature, and hopefully, cross off all the books on your to-read list!

Join us for a theater workshop –en español– where kids will have the opportunity to learn theater techniques—how to tell stories with their bodies and voices, how to design costumes, how to make a set—and to put these skills to use in the production of a short play!

Enjoy a fun-filled afternoon with Canticos and Susie Jaramillo with a pollito puppet :) Bring your pollitos to read, sing, and dance with the creator of Canticos!
April 6th - 3PM
Enjoy lively songs written and performed by Nathalia, a talented musician and early childhood music educator.
Immerse yourselves in a world of rhythm and melody where your kids can sing, dance, and groove along to Nathalia’s music! After the concert, get a chance to meet Nathalia and grab a signed copy of her new book “Los más pequeños”.

Do your kids love bugs and all things creepy-crawly? Let’s dive into the world of these little creatures reading fun books and getting creative with bug-inspired art! We’ll enjoy a creative activity and a ronda de cuentos, sharing some of our favorite bug stories!

Join us for an afternoon of stories and art with Marcelo Verdad!
Our special guest, author-illustrator Marcelo, will share his wonderful stories and creative process. Participants will also have the chance to explore their creativity by making a dreamcatcher ("atrapasueños") inspired by Marcelo's book El atrapasueños / The Dreamcatcher.

Join us for an afternoon of shared stories and arts!
We' ll read cozy spring stories and get creative together to celebrate the arrival of spring.
February 22nd
Join us for an afternoon of stories and illustration with Mariángeles Reymondes!
Our special guest author and illustrator from Argentina. We will share her wonderful stories and creative process. Participants will also get to explore their creativity through drawing, collage, and more!
