Los hermanos Wolfie y Wilfie son dos pequeños lobos que no quieren dar miedo, ellos no quieren ser salvajes. Son educados y quieren ayudar a los demás. Por esos motivos la manada de lobos salvajes y feroces se mete con ellos y les presionan para cambiar asustándoles. Cuando llega la abuelita con su cesta llena de tartas... ¡La manada se lanza a por ellas! Será entonces cuando Wolfie y Wilfie saquen su lado más feroz. ¿Qué ocurrirá con las tartas de la abuelita? ¿Y los hermanos lobo? ¿Serán capaces de detener a la manada?

Wolfie and Wilfie are two small wolf brothers that don't want to cause fear or act wild. In fact, they're well-educated and polite, and always want to help out others. For these reasons, a gang of feral wolves targets them and pressures them to change by scaring them. When a little old lady shows up with a bag full of tarts... the gang leaps for them! This is when Wolfie and Wilfie will show their ferocious sides! What will happen to the tarts? The brothers? Will they be able to stop the gang?
Las nietas de Baba
La anciana Baba vive sola en una casita del bosque en lo alto de la montaña. Un día, sin querer, despierta de su profunda siesta al lobo hambriento, el cual la amenaza con comérsela. Para salvarse, Baba le propone un trato: alegando que su vieja carne está dura, lo invita a ir a su casa al anochecer. Allí encontrará a sus tres nietas y podrá elegir a una de ellas. Este cuento popular, protagonizado por la antiquísima figura de Babayaga –una viejita, una bruja, quizás incluso la madre naturaleza–, viene de Bulgaria. En él, la astucia se enfrenta a la fuerza bruta y el desenlace cobra vida a partir de un delicioso juego lingüístico y metafórico. La ilustradora Ina Hristova ha escrito e ilustrado su particular versión de esta historia, recordando todas las veces que su abuelo se la contó cuando ella era una niña.

Baba is an old woman who lives alone in a little house in the woods at the top of the mountain. One day, without meaning to, she interrupts a dozing wolf's nap, who wakes up hungry and threatens to eat her. To save herself, Baba proposes a deal; instead of eating the old meat on her old-lady bones, he should come by her house that night to feast on her young (and totally, definitely, and absolutely real) daughters. This story of brains over brawn, with Baba Yaga as its protagonist, is rich with metaphor and linguistic play. The illustrator, Ina Hristova has both written and drawn this particular version of this story, based on all the times her grandfather told her this same story as a child.

Stone Soup is a traditional story popular throughout europe that speaks on the avarice of those who have enough in the face of those who do not. In this story, the illustrations provide as much narrative as the words. The hunched figure of the wolf is unsettling and mysterious, but this only goesto show that even the intimidating can fall on hard times. In the end, the story follows its traditional route, providing a lesson on the joys of opening your doors to those who could do with a bit of generosity.
