LibroTALKS
LibroTALKS, an initiative created by LA librería, serves as a hub connecting readers with the rich world of books, authors, artists, editors, and publishing professionals. Whether virtual or in person, we host various events and activities with a simple mission: to keep our community of families, educators, and young readers informed about the latest trends and insights in children's and YA literature from Latin America, Spain, and the U.S.
In this LibroTALKS, we want to tell you about the new release from the Guatemalan publisher Amanuense: No cualquier montaña, a wonderful picture book that comes from the successful collaboration between the poet Julio Serrano (Guatemala) and the artist Juan Palomino (Mexico).
We spoke with Valia Libenson, the book's editor, about the creative process. Here is our conversation. Continue reading here.
It's time to flex your literary muscles through literary reviews! With the help of a teacher or other guide, write a review (in Spanish!) for a book you have read for a chance to win a $250 library from LA Libreria for your class! Join us and spark your creativity!
Teachers, we've prepared a brief guide on how to write a book review and a template to write the review on it. Feel free to print and use it in class to assist your students' writing process.
